A gallon tells you capacity. Dimensions tell you whether the tote works with your items and your space.
Use exterior dimensions to check shelves, closets, doors and vehicle openings. Leave room to lift and remove the tote.
Nominal US liquid measure. 1 gallon = 4 quarts. Capacity does not guarantee the fit of a rigid item.
LEARN HOW THE PIECES CONNECT
Choose a product. Follow a connection.
See what fits, why it helps, and what to check.
Stacking, nesting, lid fit and mechanical connections are different. Solid lines show specific pairings or demonstrations. Dashed lines show listing-level compatibility that needs an arrangement check. Missing pairings remain unconfirmed.
Remove contents and lids, then nest matching empty bodies. The retailer describes the tapered body and empty nesting.
A seated base rests on the recessed lid below. This is not an interlocking latch, and 75 lb product load is not a rating for the entire stacked column.
The yellow 108-lid listing names 27-gallon Tough Tote UPCs 840254200173, 840254200180, 840254200319 and 840254200579. Match the UPC on the actual tote before buying.
PUT THE PIECES TO WORK
A few decisions before you pack
can make the whole system easier to use.
Explore the individual pieces. Images are not to scale.
Keep a season or activity together. Use smaller totes for dense items and larger totes for light, bulky items. A tote you can lift comfortably is more useful than one filled to the brim.
Capacity describes volume. It does not tell you how heavy a packed tote will be.
STORAGE IN EVERYDAY LIFE
A clear body makes it easier to spot folded clothing and other contents before opening the tote.
Built-in wheels and a pull handle change how a tote moves. Check the route and loaded weight.
Group the things you use together. Keep the items you reach for often where you can see and access them.

THE BASICS
Snap lids suit everyday storage. Attached flip lids stay with the tote. Latches and gaskets add the closure features listed for that product.
Try it: Choose quick access, clear visibility or a gasketed closure.
Use front access or an attached lid for items you reach for often. Put heavy items lower and plan enough room to open or remove a tote.
Try it: Separate daily, occasional and seasonal items.
Choose built-in wheels or a compatible dolly when totes need to travel. Wheels do not increase the allowed load.
Try it: Check the route, wheel clearance and loaded weight.
